Easy sausage rolls

These are the bomb - They are so simple to make and taste great. I am lucky enough to have a great butcher who makes a spicy Italian sausage that is just perfect for these.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork sausages (spicey)
  • 1 Puff pastry sheet
  • 1 Pinch of fennel seeds
  • 1 Pinch of chilli flakes
  • 1 Egg whisked or milk

Instructions

  1. Place pastry on the bench and allow to thaw
  2. Cut sheet in strips of 3
  3. Cut sausage skins off and place pieces matching in length onto strips
  4. Roll the sausages into pastry and cut off excess length
  5. Place on a lined baking tray and brush with either beaten egg or milk
  6. Sprinkle with fennel seeds and chilli flakes
  7. Bake in oven at 180-90deg for 35-40min
  8. Remove and place on wire rack to cool

The easiest to make - great for a work snack
